The Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale (Tsai CITY) and Accelerate Yale will co-host a gathering of Yale students and alumni at Bernstein Private Wealth Management in New York City. Our panelists will share their perspectives on the economic outlook for entrepreneurs and investors in 2023, as well as insights on strategic structuring of startups to optimize financial returns for an intended future exit.
Kim Mustin, Regional Managing Director of Bernstein Private Wealth Management, will provide opening remarks. Panelists include Jeff Hoffman '83, Chairman, Global Entrepreneurship Network; Tom X. Lee '90, CEO, One Medical and Galileo; Rebecca Liu-Doyle '14, Managing Director, Insight Partners; and Jorge Torres '96, Entrepreneurship Fellow, Tsai CITY. The program will conclude with a lightning round of one-minute pitches from 5 students and 5 alumni.

We will host David Teten (Founder, Versatile Venture Capital) in conversation with Bhaskar Ghosh (“BG”, Partner and CTO, 8VC SF), in a panel moderated by Sam Hendel (Co-founder, Dataminr). In addition to the discussion, we will have short introductory remarks from leaders of our partner Yale organizations: Accelerate Yale, YaleFin, Blavatnik Fellowship, and Friends of Yale from Industry. Our panel will discuss venture capital from both a VC & entrepreneur perspective, tech investments and startups, how they relate to the Yale community, and the growth areas of tech where generational companies will be built. We’ll also offer insights for recent grads and experienced executives on working in the VC industry and with VC-backed startups. We will finish with an audience Q&A and open the floor to network & mingle over cocktails and snacks. All attendees must provide proof of COVID vaccination.
